Alfred Hugo Wilson, 89, of Hillsboro, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 6:43 a.m. at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with his nephew, Lee Davis of Litchfield, officiating. Burial will be held in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.

Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 12, 1930, at home in Montgomery County, to William Alfred and Eliza (Kahl) Wilson. He married Barbara Long on Nov. 2, 1957, at St. Timothy United Methodist Churh in Litchfield, and she preceded him in death.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and golfing, and was a member of Shoal Creek Fox Hunters Association.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his son, William (Tammy) Wilson of Hillsboro; three daughters, Theresa (Tony) Flowers of Vandalia, Darla (Randy) Jorn of Hillsboro and Deanna (Tony) Tripoli of Crystal Lake; two sisters, Ethel File of Litchfield and Evelyn Sites of Jackson, MO; eight grandchildren, William (Tracy) Wilson of Hillsboro, Tony (Jennifer) Flowers, Jr. of Vandalia, Sam (Megan) Flowers of Brownstown, Hannah (Sean) Cook of Vevay, IN, Ashley Jorn of Chicago, Andrew (companion Morgan White) Jorn of Edwardsville, Lynsey (Andrew) Honegger of Glenview and Ryan (companion Kristen Koerber) Hudak of Mt. Vernon; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Henry, Walter, Arthur, Roy, Charles, Robert and infant brother Edwin Wilson; and three sisters, Alice Prose, Dorothy Billiter and Hazel Davis.
