Alice E. Koniak, 83 of Gillespie, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at 11:30 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
No public services will be held. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is assisting the family.
Mrs. Koniak was born May 19, 1936, in Litchfield, to Robert and Talka (Rothermell) Eller. She married Francis L. Koniak, Sr., and he survives.
She was a retired home health nurse.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Yvonne (John) Koniak-Cagle of Eolia, MO, Tom (Terry) Koniak of Gillespie and Dianne (Mike) Baum of Sorento; daughter-in-law, Marcia Koniak of Gillespie; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Francis L. Koniak, Jr.; son-in-law, Tim Adams; two brothers; and four sisters.
