Allan R. Alexander, 82, of Greenville, died Thursday, March 21, 2024, in the Greenville Nursing and Rehab Center, surrounded by loving family.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 29, at 10 a.m. at Reno Bethel Cemetery, with the Rev. Dee Armes officiating. The family has entrusted Assalley-Young Funeral Home in Greenville with the ceremonies.
 Mr. Alexander was born on April 5, 1941, in Highland, the son of the late Clyde Russell and Louise (Robinson) Alexander. He married JoAnn Elizabeth Smoot on June 12, 1969, in Donnellson, and they were married for over 54 blessed years.
Mr. Alexander grew up on a farm near Reno and later moved to Greenville with his family. He dearly loved cats and doted on his daily. He spent four years in the United States Air Force, with one and half years of that time in Okinawa.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, JoAnn, of Greenville; son, Gary (Vicky) Alexander of Greenville and daughter Christine (fiancée, John Rezabek) of Greenville; grandson, Jace Bowen of Greenville; and sister, Carol Alexander of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
