Alma J. (Hamilton) Snider, 82, of Donnellson, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, at 10:42 a.m. at her residence.

Cremation rites were accorded. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. COVID-19 CDC guidelines will be followed, using masks and social distancing. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.

Mrs. Snider was born May 15, 1938, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late William P. and Edith (Wharton) Hamilton. She married C.O. Snider on Dec. 23, 1954, in Hillsboro, and he survives.

During her lifetime, she lived in Hillsboro and Donnellson. She was a 1956 graduate of Hillsboro High School. She enjoyed writing for The Journal-News and working for Victims Advocates of Montgomery  County Judicial System in Hillsboro. She enjoyed traveling, her Fusion buddies and she loved her dogs.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Becky (husband Jim) Clinard of Oglesby, Lisa Lusk of Hillsboro, Sheri (husband Kevin) Riley of Corydon, IN, Tami (husband Rob) Hellman of Florida, and Kristy (husband Martin) Hadley of Palm Coast, FL; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bill Hamilton, Jr. of Hillsboro, Karen White of Hillsboro and Kit Anderson of Canton, GA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son in infancy.
