Angeline I. (Markulakis) Herron, 83, of Wilsonville, died on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020, at 4:55 a.m. at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton.
No public services will be held. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie assisted the family.
Mrs. Herron was born July 22, 1937, in Wilsonville, to Marcus and Flossie (Frey) Markulakis. She married Edward Herron, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 2007.
During her career, she served as a CNA at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield for over 40 years. She was also a member of the Litchfield Moose Lodge.
Mrs. Herron is survived by her children, Stanley Herron of Jerseyville and Jean Beeman of Wilsonville; grandchild, Marcus Beeman of Wilsonville; sibling, Charles “Tony” (Barbara) Markulakis; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, George Markulakis and John Markulakis.
