Angelo Emilio Romero, 18, of Coffeen, died on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at 3:33 p.m. at his residence.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Mark Noyes officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen.
Mr. Romero was born July 23, 2000, in Litchfield, to Rafe and Amanda (Caldwell) Romero.
He was an honor roll student at Hillsboro High School, where he played football and graduated in 2018. He lived in the Coffeen area during his lifetime.
Mr. Romero was an accomplished guitar player and poet, an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his parents of Coffeen; siblings, Antonio and Rocco Romero; maternal grandparents, John and Becky Laurent and Kevin Caldwell; paternal grandmother, Theresa Romero; and great-grandparents, Judy Frerk, Claude and Barb Snider.
Mr. Romero was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rodney Romero; an aunt, Breezy Romero; an uncle, Stacey Snider; and his great-grandmothers, Ruth Ondrey, Alberta Caldwell and Jackie Newell Chumley.
