Anna V. Ragland, 99, of Litchfield, died on Monday, July 27, 2020, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.

Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 3, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. Graveside services will follow, beginning at 12 p.m. at the cemetery. Those attending are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines by wearing masks and social distancing. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family.

Mrs. Ragland was born March 31, 1921, in Cookeville, TN, to Jube Cummings and Daisy May (Huddleston) Jackson. She married Lester George Ragland in 1939, in St. Charles, MO, and he preceded her in death in 2000.

She was an excellent cook and was known especially for her pies, having worked at many local restaurants such as Jack’s Corner, Owens and The Gardens.

Mrs. Ragland was a member of the Christian Church in Litchfield.

She is survived by her son, Norman Paul (wife Shirley) Ragland of Litchfield; daughter, Virginia (husband Robert) Diesselhorst of Coffeen; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ragland was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Ragland; granddaughter, Jamie Odle; grandsons, Robert Diesselhorst and Michael McDaniel; and siblings, Virble D. Jackson, Lola B. Robinson, Thelma Jean Duff, Jo Fischer and Dovie E. Carroll.

Memorials may be directed to a local food pantry or Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend.
