Annelda Minnie Gordon, 89, of Hillsboro, formerly of Litchfield, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2020, at 11:21 a.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.

Private graveside memorial services will be held Friday, Aug. 21. Plummer Funeral Services in Litchfield is assisting the family.

Mrs. Gordon was born Oct. 22, 1930, in Hornsby, a daughter of Henry Louis and Anna Louisa (Pluhm) Niehaus. She married Charles Melvin Gordon on June 16, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Litchfield, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1996.

She candled eggs at Anderson’s Egg Plant in Litchfield and was a homemaker. A member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, she enjoyed traveling with her husband.

Mrs. Gordon is survived by one daughter, Diane White of Irving; two grandchildren, Heather (Kyle) Nestler of Pleasant Plains and Leslie (Shawn) Murray of Irving; and five great-grandchildren, Faith, Brianna and Sarah Nestler, and Connor and Paige Roemelin.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son-in-law, Dean White; one brother, Marvin Niehaus; one sister, Lorelda Weatherford; and one great-grandson, Dylan Roemelin.
