Anthony Krivi, 28, of Nokomis/Mt Olive recently learned that he has made the U.S.A. team that will travel to Portimao, Portugal to participate in the International Six Day Enduro competition (ISDE) from Nov. 11 through Nov. 16. The International Six Day Enduro, formerly known as the International Six Days Trial (ISDT), is the oldest “off-road” motorcycle event. The first ISDT was held in 1913 at Carlisle, England.
The American Motorcycle Association held qualifiers which consisted of three, three-round series being held in various states throughout the U.S. For the western qualifiers, AMA held events in California, Idaho and Nevada. For the eastern qualifiers, the events were in Mississippi, Michigan and West Virginia. The top seven riders, plus one senior rider, in each series qualified for the ISDE Club team rosters. On Friday, June 7, AMA publicly announced the names of the 21 riders that would be traveling to Portugal.
Krivi graduated from Litchfield High School in 2009, SIUE in 2013 with a teaching certificate and is currently employed with the Auburn School District as a health/physical education teacher.
He is the son of Tom Krivi (Jamie deceased) of Mt. Olive and Monica Cripe (Terry deceased) of Nokomis.
Krivi has been riding motorcycles since the age of three and making this team has been a lifelong dream. He would like to say thank you to Niehaus Cycle Sales, Stuk Graphics and 365mx for their awesome sponsorship this past year.
There will be various fundraising activities as well as selling T-shirts and koozies. For those who would like to learn more about Krivi, follow him on his social media channels, Instagram @justawoodsrider, Facebook @anthonykrivi or www.akrivi391.com.
