Aqua Run Benefits Glenn Shoals Lake

More than 275 sun and fun lovers helped improve the lake in Hillsboro by participating in the Glenn Shoals Lake Club Aqua Run on Saturday, July 24. Aqua Runners made stops around the lake by boat in an effort to roll dice for the best poker hand for cash prizes.  The event kicked off at noon at the South Marina, with the first stop hosted by Kim Blankenship of Reid Baugher Century 21 and Jenna Laurent of Hair Zone at the North Marina.  Subsequent stops were hosted by John and Megan Kindernay, Greg and Marissa Cowell, Shane and Shayna Christy, and Randy and Holly Leetham before the final “Mulligan Island” stop back at the South Marina.

Funds generated from the event are used for improvements to Lake Glenn Shoals for a variety of projects including upgrades to existing marina with security cameras purchased, boat  accessories added to both the new and existing marina. Recently, ten “slow no wake” buoys have been purchased by the club with previous funds raised by Glenn Shoals Lake Club events.
