Arlene M. Trost, 85, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at 11:09 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Daniel Willenborg, pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Trost was born July 2, 1934, in Chicago, to the late John and Sadie (Palider) Pustelniak. She married Raymon Trost on Feb. 8, 1958, at St. Joseph and St. Anne Catholic Church in Chicago, and he survives.
A graduate of Chicago Catholic High School in Chicago, in 1974, she moved to Hillsboro. She was a housewife.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, where she was a member of the Altar Rose Society; the Lioness Club in Hillsboro; and cookie chair for the Girl Scouts. She also loved doing craft work and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Diane (husband Ed) Roman of Rockford, Raymon (wife Helen) Trost of Litchfield, Candi (husband Mike) Ellington of Donnellson and Geoff (wife Tammy) Trost of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, Phyllis, John Paul, Eddie, Christy, Raymon, Elizabeth, David and Kayla; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Montgomery County Cancer Society.
