Armando Jose Zuñiga, 34, of Litchfield, died on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at 5:52 p.m. in St. Louis, MO.
A private memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at his parents’ residence, with Father Dan Willenborg officiating. Litchfield Family Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Zuñiga was born on Dec. 29, 1985, in Waukegan, a son of Jose and Maria Del Carmen (Copado) Zuñiga. He graduated from Litchfield High School and went on to pursue a career in the music industry becoming an impressive music producer, performing DJ sets and creating digital art.
Mr. Zuñiga is credited with bringing the music scene to Springfield and facilitating some of the largest music gatherings around the area. He was also an instrumental part of providing entertainment at several music festivals.
In his spare time, Mr. Zuñiga enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family, especially his ten year old son, Calixto. His family and friends knew him for his sense of humor and his willingness to lend a helping hand and be there for others, even when he was fighting battles of his own
Mr. Zuñiga is survived by his son, Calixto David Zuñiga of Springfield; parents, Jose and Maria Zuñiga of Litchfield; sisters, Jessica (Arthur) LeVoy, Norma Zuñiga and Laura (Evans) Zuñiga, all of Springfield; three nephews; and several cousins.
