Audrey Emma Tietze, 100, of Staunton, died at 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at Heritage Health in Staunton.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Staunton. Funeral services will follow, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 30, at the church, with Rev. Debbie Jo Atkins officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Williamson Funeral Home of Staunton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Tietze was born on March 1, 1919, in Staunton, to Al and Julia (Ruhlander) Rueter. She married James Tietze on June 8, 1946, in Staunton, he preceded her in death on June 20, 1999.

Mrs. Tietze worked as a teller at First National Bank in Staunton for eight years, prior to marriage. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Staunton, where she served as Church Secretary for eleven years.  Mrs. Tietze was also president of the Women's Fellowship, a choir member and a Sunday School teacher at the church. She volunteered as a member of the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. In her spare time, she loved dancing, reading, sewing and crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Tietze is survived by her children, Rochelle (Tim) Dees of Litchfield, Larry (Debra) Tietze of Fort Montgomery, NY; grandchildren, Jon (Jennie) Dees of Pickerington, OH, Kris (Greg) Starkey of Spring Hill, TN, Courtney Tietze of Fort Montgomery, NY and Blake (Lauren) Tietze of Greens Farms, CT; and great-grandchildren, Laine, Eliana, Ainsley and Colton Starkey, Jordan and Camryn Dees, and Tyson and Tanner Tietze.
