Austin A. Krager, 18

Austin Anthony Krager, 18, of Farmersville, died from an auto accident at 8:39 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in the Lincolnwood High School gym in Raymond.  Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Martin's Cemetery in Farmersville. Hough Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The son of Mark and Jill (Welsh) Krager, he was born Jan. 26, 2001, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was a member of the senior class of 2019 at Lincolnwood High School. While at Lincolnwood he was a member of the Lincolnwood Lancer basketball team and FFA.  He was a recipient of the 2019 FFA state degree and had completed courses at Capitol Area Career Center where he studied auto body mechanics. He had worked at Mick's Auto Body in Raymond and had secured an intern position at Ultimate Collision Center in Hillsboro.

He owned and operated AK Lawn Service and worked for Krager Construction and farmed.  He was a member of the AMA and enjoyed riding his dirt bike.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Maycee Durbin of Stonington; his sisters, Skylar, Madison and Cassie Krager, all of Farmersville; his grandparents, Jack and Sandy Welsh of Farmersville, and Larry and Debbie Krager of Harvel; great-grandmothers, Mary Krager and Lois King of Chatham; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his uncle Andrew Krager and cousin Caitlyn Welsh.
