Bert H. Eickhoff, 60, of Nokomis, died at 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at Hillsboro Area Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Monday evening, Dec. 28, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis. Family funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at the church, with burial in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Ellisville, MO.

Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.

Face masks will be required, and Center for Disease Control social distancing guidelines will be followed, allowing only ten people at a time. Those attending visitation are asked to keep the line moving.

Pastor Eickhoff was born on July 20, 1960, to Jerry and Joy (Shaw) Eickhoff, who survive in Artesia. He married Carol Lekar on July 24, 1982, in Ellisville, MO, and she survives in Nokomis.

After attending Artesia public schools until his senior year, Pastor Eickhoff graduated from St. Paul’s College High in Concordia, MO, in 1978. He later attended St. Paul’s Junior College in Concordia, MO, before transferring to Concordia in Milwaukee, WI, where he graduated in 1981. Pastor Eickhoff earned his masters of divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO, in 1988.

Pastor Eickhoff has served many congregations during his tenure, including Our Good Shepherd Jesus Christ in Zion and Trinity Lutheran, Harbine and Janssen in Nebraska, as well as St. Paul’s Lutheran in Sedalia, MO.

Most recently, he served at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis since November 1998.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he is survived by his children, Jessica (Mike) Cervi of Edwardsville, Sarah (Waylon) Martin of Pleasant Hope, MO, Joseph Eickhoff of St. Louis, MO and Joshua Eickhoff of Nokomis; grandchildren Elliott, Jim and Silas Cervi and Noah Martin; and siblings Dawn (Hammond) Buck of South Thomaston, ME, Michael (Margo) Eickhoff of Odesa, TX and John (Michelle) Eickhoff of Indian Hills, CO.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother Chris Edward Lee Harris and his biological father, Jerry Lee Harris.
