Bette June Condo, 94, of Hillsboro, died on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 6:10 a.m. at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Graveside memorial services will be conducted Thursday, July 16, 2020, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Virden Cemetery. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Condo was born May 28, 1926, in Verona, to John and Ellen (Tait) Snyder. She married John C. Condo on Aug. 31, 1946, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Virden, and they later divorced.
She was an excellent homemaker, seamstress and upholsterer. A pianist, she composed music.
During her career, Ms. Condo worked as a show hair model for Clairol hair products and served as an interior director.
She followed the Catholic faith and loved animals, especially her dogs.
Ms. Condo is survived by her two daughters, Ellen D. Ray of St. Louis, MO, and Kathleen A. Condo of Florida; three grandchildren, Thomas J. Nadratowski, Michael T. Schmidt and Amy T. (Schmidt) Salcedo; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
