Betty B. Hicks, 97, of Pana, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 2, at McCracken Dean Funeral Home in Pana with Pastor Amanda Richards officiating. Burial was held in Mound Cemetery.
Mrs. Hicks was born Aug. 5, 1923, in Morrisonville, the daughter of the late Harold and Hazel (Carroll) Hill. She married Sheridan Hicks on Aug. 28, 1946, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2018.
A graduate of Morrisonville High School, she was a homemaker, and worked part-time at Fashion Lane after her kids were grown. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Pana and was a member of the Pana Moose Lodge. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her children, James (Janet) Hicks and Sue (Donald) Blaney, both of Pana; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Harper; and two brothers.
