Betty J. Stonecipher, 97, of Ballwin, MO, died on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 11, at Wolfersberger Funeral Home in O’Fallon. Graveside services will also be at 9:45 am, on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Wolfersberger Funeral Home in O’Fallon assisted the family with arrangements. 

 Mrs. Stonecipher was born on Aug. 15, 1924, in Seelyville, IN, to John Oakley and Ruth (Elwell) Hadley. She married Amos Stonecipher on  April 17, 1948. He was a Brig. Gen. Army and WWII veteran who preceded her in death in 2001.

Mrs. Stonecipher worked for J. Fabick Transportation, retiring in 1986. She was a longtime member of Manchester United Methodist Church in Ballwin, MO, before moving to O’Fallon. She was a Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed her family’s annual trip to Branson.

Mrs. Stonecipher is survived by her nieces and nephews, Jackie (Frank) Shewmaker of O’Fallon, Bob (Debbie) Stonecipher of Brownstown, Bev (Randy) Tozer of Phoenix, AZ, Brenda (Doug) Byers of Hillsboro, Bill (Mary Margaret) Stonecipher of St. Louis, MO, and Bryan (Kathy) Stonecipher of Phoenix, AZ; cousins, Donna Keele and Janet Young, both of Salem;  and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and parents.
