Betty Louise Brown, 94, of Hillsboro, died on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at Liberty Village in Clinton.
Cremation rites were accorded. Services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Brown was born on Dec. 3, 1924, to the late Reynolds R. and Lillian R. (Donaldson) Voyles. She married Omer F. Brown on June 19, 1943, in Ozark, Alabama, he preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2017. Mrs. Brown was a 1943 graduate of Hillsboro High School. The Browns operated Brown Aluminum business in Hillsboro with the help of their sons and daughter. They enjoyed gardening and sharing their harvest bounty with friends and relatives. Mrs. Brown also worked at Capri IGA and retired in 1986, after 22 years.
Mrs Brown is survived by four sons, Fred Brown of Forsyth, Ron Brown of Morton, Tim Brown of Champaign and Dennis Brown; one daughter, Cathy Brown of Bloomington; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and two brothers, William Voyles of Butler and David Voyles of Godfrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandchildren, Dustin Brown and Karen Kerr; and four brothers, Reynolds Voyles, Jr., Richard Voyles, James Voyles and Jack Voyles.
