Betty L. (White) Settle, 92, of Hillsboro, died at 3:13 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 06, 2021, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
A private funeral service will be held. Burial will be at Irving Cemetery. COVID-19 CDC guidelines with the use of masks and social distancing will be followed. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Settle was born on March 23, 1928, in Hillsboro, to Aaron and Ethel (Elmore) White. She married Olin L. Settle on March 6, 1947, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2020. Mrs. Settle was a farm wife. She also did seamstress work for many people in the area.
Mrs. Settle is survived by her son, Russell L. (wife, Michelle) Settle of Irving; grandchildren, Brent Allan Settle, Daniel Lee Settle and Morgan Brittnee Settle; and siblings, Shirley (husband, Herb) Wright of Vandalia and Denver White of South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Lawrence E. Settle; four brothers; and three sisters.
