Raymond Village Board met at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 6, with five trustees and Mayor Denny Held present.
In police, the board has applied for a grant from Norfolk and Southern. The board discussed the need for more patrol in the village, following several break-ins that occurred last week.
In streets and alleys, the board discussed the culvert on Johnson Lane, which has been ordered and is expected sometime in August. The board then discussed the oil and rocking of the roads this year. They also spoke about getting the culvert located in the alley behind village hall in order, so the rainwater has somewhere to go.
Discussion moved to water and sewer. The board received a bid from Pro Built for the new well house.
In golf, the board learned that there are a few more irrigation leaks that need to be fixed. However, the new mower is cutting great and a motion to purchase it passed unanimously. Advanced Turf provided input on the greens and how the golf course should proceed.
The discussion then turned to yards within the village that need to be worked on. A motion was made to go into executive session. The board came out of executive session and the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
