It was a long but worthwhile trip to Paducah, KY on Aug. 8, for Litchfield racers Phil and Dustin Bryant.
The father and son made the 400-plus mile round trip to Beacon Dragway on Saturday and came away with two second place finishes.
Phil Bryant’s runner-up finish would come in the super pro class, which featured 65 total entries. Dustin Bryant would go up against 56 other entries in the pro class and made it down to the final pair before bowing out.
The week before, the Bryants were two of a host of Litchfield racers at Central Illinois Dragway in Havana. Joining the father and son combo were Roger Burdell, Rich Komor, Randy Weller and Corey Wood.
Komor was at Muncie Dragway to try his luck at the Trip Tens on Aug. 7, but was knocked out in the third round.
