Carl Miller, 76, of Hillsboro, died on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 1:30 p.m., at Hillsboro Country Club while enjoying his favorite pastime golf,where he had been a member for several years.
Per his request, no services will be held at this time. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Miller was born on Sept. 16, 1944, in Pana, to Richard and Margaret (Jacobs) Miller. He married Bonnie Alvey on June 14, 1969, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Romeoville.
Mr. Miller was a 1962 graduate of Berkeley High School in Ferguson MO. He was retired from the Hillsboro Street Department where he worked for 29 years. He served in the U.S, Air Force as a medic. While in Boston, he also studied business administration at Northeastern University.In his youth, he was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Florissant MO.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Leigh Ann Miller; one sister, Kathy Heitman; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ron Miller; one sister, Janice Laughlin; and his beloved Yorkie of fifteen years, Bailey.
