Carl T. Hatfield, 73, of Coffeen, died on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 8:18 p.m. at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in West Virginia. Cremation rites were accorded. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mr. Hatfield was born May 5, 1945, in Simon, WV, to the late Elliot Lee and Margie Looney (Lester) Hatfield.
During his career, he worked as a coal miner in West Virginia. He lived in Rockhouse Mountain, WV, before moving to Coffeen.
Mr. Hatfield was a member of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA), enjoyed fishing, and adored his granddaughters and his companion dog, Scruff.
He is survived by his children, Natasha (husband Jeff) Cline of Coffeen and Tammy (husband Greg) Alford of Meadow Bridge, WV; three grandchildren, Brandi (husband Seth) Cline, Traci (husband Steven) Browning and Lassie Cline; seven great-grandchildren, Rylan, Raeghan, Reid and Rayce Cline, Lincoln Browning, Kylie Alford and Heather Williams; and seven brothers, Armour, Carroll, Roger, Bernie, Junior, Otis and Brendon Hatfield.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hatfield was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Hatfield.
Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
