Carol A. (Green) Fenton, 75, of Butler, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, surrounded by her family.

A private burial will be held at Rovey Cemetery in Farmersville. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Butler Community Center. Friends and family may arrive at 11 a.m., where a meal will be served. Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Fenton was born Oct. 7, 1943, in Rockford, the daughter of Charlotte (Brummitt) Green. She married Marvin Fenton on Aug. 4, 1962, and he survives.

A homemaker for most of her adult life, she cared for her granddaughter at home when she was a child.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Danny (wife Jeanette) Fenton; granddaughter, Danielle (husband Levi) Bailey; great-grandchildren, Ryan Quinn and Lane Bailey; step-grandchildren, Darrel Moulton, Larry Ishum and Blake Wyatt; stepgreat-grandchildren, Larissa, Emilee and Gahrett Moulton, Zaydan Pearson, and Xander and Prestin Wyatt.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Betty Brummitt; siblings, Carl, Don and Darlene; uncle, Leo Brummitt; great-granddaughter, Rylee Quinn; and stepgrandson, Justin Wyatt.
