Carol Ann Harms, 67, of Hillsboro, formerly of Butler, died on May 14, 2024, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting with arrangements.
Mrs. Harms was born on July 18, 1956, in Peoria, to Betty (Sybert) Lienemann, and was raised by Stephan and Selma Putnick. She graduated from Granite City High School in 1974, and married Jimmie Harms on July 18 of that same year. She worked as a billing clerk for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City, having retired in 2003.
In addition to her husband, Jimmy, she is survived by her son, Richard Harms; daughter-in-law, Brooke Harms; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, David Matlock of Butler and Jim (Brenda) Bleisch of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Harms was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph Jennings; and sisters, Mary Mills and Connie Lewey.
