Carol L. Drum, 69, of Pana, died on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, at 6:20 a.m. at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites were accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society in Springfield.
Mrs. Drum was born Dec. 21, 1949, in Chicago, to Lawrence and Caroline (Bogash) Kelly. She married Don Drum, Sr., and he preceded her in death.
She was employed as a cashier at Walgreens in Charleston, and worked for the franchise for over 23 years.
Mrs. Drum enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved reading, music, movies and animals.
She is survived by her children, Don (companion Julie) Drum, Jr. of Litchfield, Danielle (companion Howard Coon) and Michael J. (companion April Cash) Drum; three grandsons, Aiden and Josiah Estrada-Drum and Skylar Gerhardt; great-granddaughter, Lily Gerhardt; sister, Joanne Kelly; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Drum was preceded in death by her companion, Mustafa Jubeh; parents; and a sister, Betty Dean.
