Carolyn Sue “Susie” Beck, 79, of Augsburg, died on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, at 12:33 p.m. at her home.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 19, at Crown Point Church in rural Vandalia with the Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating.
Ms. Beck was born Feb. 22, 1941, in Fayette County, to Fleming and Dorothy (Bolyard) Beck.
She was a homemaker, and an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
A member of the Orchid Society, Ms. Beck loved her flowers. She enjoyed baseball, football and horseracing, but mostly, she loved spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Finley of Vandalia, Debbie (Bruce) White of Augsburg and Lisa Beck of St. Elmo; sons, Max Beck and Mike Beck, both of Augsburg, and Daron (Bobbie Sue) Beck and Chris Beck, both of Vandalia; sister, Linda Ricke of Fillmore; brother, Danny (Paula) Beck of Vandalia; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Beck was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; and three brothers.
Memorials may be directed to Crown Point Church in rural Vandalia or the donor’s choice.
