Cecil Phillip Canoy, 63, of Carlinville, died on Saturday evening, Aug. 17, 2019, at his residence.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Mr. Canoy was born Oct. 21, 1955, in Troy, MO, to John and Pearl (Motsenbocker) Canoy.
While residing in Missouri, he drove a mail truck in St. Louis. When he moved to Carlinville, he was employed as a driver by Illinois Paving, Hays Trucking and Robert Kaufmann Trucking.
Mr. Canoy enjoyed camping, cooking out on the grill and loved to ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He also had a passion for his cats.
He is survived by his significant other, Christina (Boulware) Borders of Carlinville; daughter, Serena (Joseph) Waters of St. Peters, MO; son, Danny Canoy of Troy, MO; stepdaughters, Amanda Borders of Carlinville and Sarah Borders of Litchfield; grandchildren, Kimberlee Borders and Aubree Allsman; brother, John (Linda) Canoy of Troy, MO; and a sister, Debbie (Jim) Smelcer of Warrenton, MO.
Mr. Canoy was preceded in death by his parents.
