Cecil Robert Kershaw, 90, of Coffeen, died on May 25, 2026.
Visitation will take place Thursday, May, 28, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Revisky officiating.
Mr. Kershaw was born May 19, 1936, in Reno, a son of Cecil Woodrow and Helen Blanche Towell Kershaw.
In his youth, he worked at various Ford garages in the Greenville and Hillsboro areas. Mr. Kershaw served his country in the US Army for two years, being stationed at Fort McKinley in Alaska. On January 27th, 1932, he married Nancy Marie Libbey and together they raised their three children. He also worked as a truck driver and mechanic at Lessman and Siebert and at Fuller Brothers Ready Mix. He finished his working career at Putnam and Wright Automotive.
Mr. Kershaw enjoyed tinkering in the garage on his John Deere tractor along with attending classic car and antique tractor shows. He loved spending time with his family. His favorite holiday being Thanksgiving at Rocky Ford Park, which included the entire Kershaw family.
Mr. Kershaw is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Robert (Susie) Kershaw, Nancy Jane (Mark) Reynolds and Mary Ann (Ron) Sheppard; his grandchildren, Thomas (Claire) Reynolds, Zachary (Mallory) Kershaw, Nicole (Josh) Warren, Melyssa (Daniel) McSperritt and Celia Sheppard; great-grandchildren, Alyah, Kaden, Grace, Millie, Easton, Mason, Scarlett and Sawyer; his sister-in-law, Carolyn Kershaw and brother-in-law, Ron Seamon.
Mr. Kershaw was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ross Kershaw and Tom Kershaw; his sisters, Mary Jane (Loren) Durbin and Ann Seamon.
Memorials honoring Mr. Kershaw may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
