Students in the Montgomery County CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) program decked the halls of the University of Illinois Extension office in Hillsboro as part of their class business project.
CEO-to-Go kicked off on Saturday, Dec. 5, as students served up more than 120 pre-ordered meals of pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, chips and a cookie. In addition, they offered free T-shirts, holiday-themed Christmas games and visits with Santa and the Grinch.
Up next, they will serve meals in Nokomis on Sunday, Dec. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Nokomis Memorial Park House, located at 525. N. Cedar St. CEO students will have a special winter Trunk or Treat event planned, as well as some games. For the Nokomis date, meals must be pre-ordered by Dec. 15.
