Charles Edward Estes, 71, of Litchfield, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at 5:40 a.m., at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
No services are planned at his time.
Mr. Estes was born April 2, 1952 in Murfreesboro, TN, the son of Charlie and Frances (Markum) Estes. Mr. Estes married the former Virginia Sue Askins on Oct. 1, 1976 in Monticello, and she survives.
Mr. Estes was a professional truck driver for several years. He then worked in the office as freight dispatcher and safety director. He enjoyed working around his house and yard, gardening, and spending time outside with his family and pets.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Estes is survived by his two daughters, Hilary Estes and Stacie Estes, both of St. Peters; and three grandchildren, Payden Estes, Alivia Estes and Sampson Estes – Collins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leon Markum.
The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Lupus Foundation.
