Charles E. Stoneburner, Jr., 82, of Litchfield, died on Saturday, April 26, 2020, at his residence.
No services are planned at this time. Litchfield Family Funeral Service is assisting the family.
Mr. Stoneburner was born March 7, 1938, to Charles E. and Ruby (Sample) Stoneburner, Sr. He married Sheila M. Groves on June 22, 1957, in Hernando, MS, and she survives.
Over the years, he was employed by Brown’s Shoe Factory in Litchfield and the Norfolk Southern Railroad. Before his retirement, he owned and operated Stoney’s Cab Company for several years.
In his leisure time, Mr. Stoneburner enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and camping, and was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Terry Charles Stoneburner of Litchfield; daughter, Dianne Elaine (Joel) Heslop of Litchfield; grandchildren, Erica (John) Stanley and Matthew (Marlayna) Stoneburner, both of Litchfield; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Stanley, Cameron Stanley, John Stanley V, Carter Stanley, Addilyn Stoneburner and Andrew Stoneburner; and two nephews.
Mr. Stoneburner was preceded in death by his parents; sister, MaryEtta Sherman; grandson, Tyler Stoneburner; great-grandchild, Paisley Stanley; and one nephew.
