Charles “Charlie” Jacob Sale, 86, of Hillsboro, died on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Private services were held. Burial will be held at Asbury Cemetery in Raymond. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mr. Sale was born Feb. 23, 1934, in Raymond, to William and Bernice (Hill) Sale.
A 1953 graduate of Hillsboro High School, he served in the U.S. Army and was active with military police.
During his career, Mr. Sale worked as a laborer. He was a member of the Shriners, Masonic Lodge and Hillsboro Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his two sisters, Elenor Shroyer of Mt. Olive and Helen Fernandes of Springfield; two aunts; one uncle; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sale was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William “Willie” Sale; and two sisters in infancy.
