Charles Oran Shuff, 85, of Tower Hill, died on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 1:15 p.m. peacefully at his home.
Due to social distancing guidelines that prohibit public gatherings, a private family graveside service was held Monday, June 1, at Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville with the Rev. Steve Neville officiating. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville assisted the family.
Mr. Shuff was born on March 18, 1935, to Burl and Mary (Ruch) Shuff. He married Lois Trainor, and she preceded him in death. He later married Irma, and she survives.
He dedicated his life to his family and farming. He enjoyed mowing the greens at Oak Terrace Resort in Pana for 18 years after retiring from his farming career.
Mr. Shuff was loved and admired by all who were blessed to know him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings, Winona Bolinger of Shelbyville and Robert (Jane) Shuff of Columbus, IN; children, Diana (Jim) Bullock of Chatham, Scott (Gina) Shuff of Pana, Jeff (Carla) Shuff of Nokomis, Brooke (Dale) Hebenstreit, LeaAnn (Tony) Eller, both of Ramsey, Jacob House of Centralia and Jason (Amber) House of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Stephanie (Thomas) Davis, Tyler (Sarah) Bullock, Staci Shuff, Tiffany Neal, Cory (Claudia) Shuff, Zach House, Austin Hebenstreit, Aubrey Hebenstreit, Lillee House, Adalynn House, Gracie Eller and Emma Eller; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife, Mr. Shuff was preceded in death by his parents; and stepmother, Dorothy (Weakly) Shuff.
