Charles R. Brown, 73, of Pana, formerly of Ramsey, died on Friday, Oct. 1, at Pana Community Hospital.
Graveside Services will begin at 11 a.m. today, Monday, Oct. 4, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in rural Ramsey with Pastor Kenny Morell officiating. Friends and family may gather at the cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brown was born on Nov. 2, 1947, in Vandalia, the son of the Rev. Noah C. and Ruth Narcissus (Morell) Brown.
He is survived by brothers Ricky (Melody) Brown of Kinmundy, Scott (Cheyenne) Brown of Vandalia, and Kevin (Deanna) Brown of Shelbyville, IN; sisters, Phyllis (Phil) Brown of Pana, Marcia (Earl) Eller of Hillsboro, Rhonda (Tony) Miller of Shelbyville, and Dawn (Joe) Thies of Neoga; an uncle, Roy (Alice) Morell of Ramsey; step-brothers, David Cheshire of Idaho, Randy Cheshire and Bruce Cheshire, both of Michigan, and Brian Cheshire of Arkansas; a step-sister, Diane Smith of Michigan; and a foster sister, Julia Ann Ledbetter of Vandalia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Roger Brown; and his step-mother, Cora Brown.
