Charles “Chuck” Titsworth, 91, formerly of Walshville, died on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Timber Creek Village in Litchfield.

A celebration of Mr. Titsworth’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, at the Christian Church of Litchfield. Visitation will be held Monday, May 15, from 4  to 7 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Titsworth was born in Walshville on July 28, 1931, a son of Elbert Allan and Gladys Fairy (Compton) Titsworth. He married Naomi Ruth Brown at Walshville Christian Church on October 3, 1964, and she preceded him in death in 1997. Mr. Titsworth  graduated from Hillsboro High School with the Class of 1949. He served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne during the Korean War.

Following his discharge from service, Mr. Titsworth was employed as a draftsman for Caterpillar in Decatur, for several years. For 50 years, he loved farming. He enjoyed keeping his farm neat and well-organized, and tinkering around on the farm. Mr. Titsworth volunteered with Meals on Wheels, was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed visiting with neighbors, friends and family. He was a humble servant and member of the Christian Church of Litchfield. Mr. Titsworth had also been a member at Walshville Christian Church for several years. He deeply loved and enjoyed his family.

Mr. Titsworth is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Brian) Gash of Berryville, VA, and Keely (Brent) Mullins of Collinsville; six grandchildren, Brennan (Brandon) Poff, Nolan (Julie) Gash, Mirais (John) Lucas, Kellan (Evan) Heidorn, Ty (Malory) Mullins and Shelby (Brett) Nickerson; two great-grandchildren: Olivia Nickerson and Jensen Mullins; and many dear friends.
