Clarence D. “Kelly” Johnson, 84, of Butler, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at his home, surrounded by loved ones.

Services will be held at a later date. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the Johnson family.

Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 8, 1941, in Ironwood, MI, a son of Matt G. and Sylvia J. (Niemi) Johnson. He graduated from Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1959. He married the former Sheila Ann Culp at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Roselle and they enjoyed sixty years of marriage.

Mr. Johnson was employed with Cavallo Bus Lines as a tour bus driver. He was a member of the Erwin Township Historical Society and enjoyed hunting. He also enjoyed building his garage by hand and could fix just about anything. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, the St. Louis Blues, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Sheila Johnson of Butler; daughter, Sara J. Johnson of Chicago; sisters, Helen (Bernie) Finco of Ironwood, MI, Edna (Ray) Karvonen of Bonifay, FL, and Joyce Frierdich of Neenah, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Sylvia Johnson; brothers, Roy E. Johnson and Robert W. Johnson; sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Ruth Zerbst; brothers-in-law, Don Zerbst and John Frierdich; and sisters-in-law, Gloria Johnson and Billie Johnson.
