Clarissa L. Wheeling Choate, 58, of Coffeen, died on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at her residence.
Cremation rites were accorded and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Choate was born July 28, 1960, in Phoenix, AZ, to Richard Max and Virginia Marie (Finley) Wheeling.
She was a 1978 graduate of Nokomis High School and worked as a legal secretary. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Fillmore.
Ms. Choate is survived by her twin sister, Theresa (Charles) Legg of Hillsboro; brother, Thomas Wheeling of Hillsboro; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Funk of Litchfield, Kimberly Brooks of St. Louis, MO, Thomas Wheeling of St. Louis, MO, Jessica Williams, Gary Williams and Robert Williams; great nieces and nephews, Megan Voyles, John Funk, Zachary Funk, Veronica Brooks, Caydon Wheeling, Grayson Wheeling and Addalynn Wheeling. She is also survived by her pet, Rex III.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Robert Wheeling.
