Claudette Lorene Jett, 77, of Litchfield, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, at 9:15 p.m. in her home, after a battle with cancer.

No services are planned at this time. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family.

Mrs. Jett was born Feb. 4, 1944, in Decatur, a daughter of Claude V. and Martha M. (Tyler) Jeffers. She married Larry Maynard Jett on Sept. 2, 1961, and he survives.

She worked at several factories in Litchfield until her retirement, and attended Southside Baptist Church in Litchfield.  She enjoyed going thrift store shopping, mushroom hunting, doing crafts and visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed music so much that she wrote a gospel song titled “I Can” and had it published.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Melissa (Lawrence) Rolland of Litchfield; five sisters, Phyllis (Kenneth) Jett of Litchfield, Maggie (Lonnie) Scott of Stonington, Ruby (Tommy) Forrest of Taylorville, Ruthie Cooper of Taylorville and Ada Lane of Litchfield; three brothers, Charles (Sandy) Jeffers of Hillsboro, Harold (Bonnie) Jeffers of Taylorville and Robert Jeffers of Taylorville; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Rauzi and Randy (fiancee Ashley) Rolland; and eight great-grandchildren, Darlene (Austin) Maulding, Alyssa Rauzi, Braden Rauzi, Isabella Rolland, Jaxyn Rolland, T.J. Rolland, Carmen Rolland and Austin Rolland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and Johnny Jeffers; three sisters, Patricia Jansen, Marilee Jeffers an Cecelia Tyler; and one grandson, Anthony Rolland.
