Clem Scribner, 81

Clem "Cowboy" Scribner, 81, of Oconee, died at 10:49 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Pana.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1937, in Matthews, MO, the son of Clemmie Milton and Martha Lucille (Mince) Scribner.  He lived in Bloomfield, MO, before attending elementary school in Audubon Country School and high school in Nokomis.

He was formerly married to ElFredia Scales. He was a member of Pana Christian Church and was last employed by Hinkel-McCoy Construction Company.

Mr. Scribner is survived by two sons, Clem "Huck" (Cindy) Scribner III of Ramsey and Greg Scribner of Oconee; three daughters, Jill (Tom) Carroll of Nokomis, Pam (Paul) Marley of Fillmore, and Gail Riggs of Springfield; sisters, Jane (Weldon) Stetter of Cantrall, and Bonnie (Dave) Books of Springfield, Kathy (Linh) Pham of Austin,TX, and Sue (Bill) Koons of Pana; brothers, Jerry (Krissie) Scribner of Vista, CA, Larry Scribner of Pana; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Scribner.

Funeral services were Saturday, May 11, at Kennedy and Sons Funeral Home in Pana.  Burial was in Bilyeu Cemetery in Moweaqua.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
