Whitney Chesser, a Hillsboro graduate, has helped the Blackburn College women's soccer team win two in a row.
The former Hiltopper player, a 5-foot-5 senior midfielder, scored Blackburn's second goal in their 4-3 win over Lincoln Christian University. At the 13 minute mark of the first, Chesser hit the back of the net to give Blackburn a 2-0 lead at the time. Blackburn is 2-7.
Trevor Geggie (Litchfield), a Greenville University football player, had three kickoff returns for 55 yards, but it was not enough to power the Panthers beyond Martin Luther University, who won a 63-28 decision. Greenville is 0-4.
Samuel Tomas-Guerrero (Litchfield) assisted Blackburn's second goal in their 2-1 win over Lincoln Christian University. He assisted the goal at the 70:17 mark of the contest. Blackburn is 1-8.
Jade Taylor (Litchfield) has one assist for the Greenville Panthers in their first nine games. The sophomore forward, who has played in eight games, has made seven starts. Greenville is 6-3.
Keating Monroe (Litchfield) has found a new college home at Monmouth College. The freshman midfielder, who has played in seven games and made six starts, has two shots on goal for the men's soccer team. Monmouth is 3-3-1 overall and 0-1 in the Midwest Conference.
Mattison Morgan (Litchfield), a St. Louis College of Pharmacy junior defensive player, has one shot on goal. Morgan, who has played in ever game, has made four starts. St. Louis College of Pharmacy is 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the American Midwest Conference.
