You are invited to join a conversation on the development and opportunities of our changing energy economy.
BlueGreen Alliance, Prairie Rivers Network, and Grow Gillespie Initiative are hosting a meeting with area residents at the Gillespie Coal Museum on Monday, April 15, at 6:30-8 p.m. to seek input on what this transition means to Macoupin and Montgomery counties.
Rural areas are particularly affected by economic fallout from changing energy systems, agricultural markets, and loss of coal mining employment. Community revitalization efforts will be the focus with comments and questions welcomed.
Hope to see you and hear your thoughts on April 15, at 6:30 p.m. The Gillespie Coal Museum is located at 121 S. Macoupin Street, Gillespie, IL 62033.
