Constance "Connie" Sue Higgason, 60, of Pawnee, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, at 6:38 a.m. in her home.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Sutton Memorial home in Taylorville. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Sister Rose McKeown officiating. Burial will be held in Ponting Cemetery in Stonington.
Mrs. Higgason was born June 16, 1959, in Taylorville, the daughter of Wayne and Beulah (McMillen) Durbin, Sr. She married Terry "Butch" Higgason on July 10, 1976, in Pawnee Catholic Church and he survives.
She was an assistant director/teacher at various daycare centers. She loved spending time with family, and above all, she loved spending time with her husband. She loved animals, especially her three dogs, Babo, Sadie and Maggie.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by sons, Mike Higgason of Pawnee and Jesse (Amber) Higgason of Springfield; granddaughter, Vanessa Higgason of Springfield; brothers, Chris (Lori) Durbin of Morrisonville and Tim (Tammy) Durbin of Stonington; sister, Sandy Rohdeman of Auburn; sisters-in-law, Jan (Don) Deacon, Barb (Dan) Courier and Marilyn (John) Meikle, all of Florida, and Patty Gresta of Rochester; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Durbin, Jr. and Joseph Durbin; and brother-in-law, Dave Gresta.
