Craig D. Montgomery, 64, of Morrisonville, died at 11:01 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2020, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home of Morrisonville is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Montgomery was born on July 10, 1955, in Taylorville, to James and Marian (Soice) Stout Montgomery. He married Linda Mae Ingles on Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at Lake Shelbyville. Mr. Montgomery graduated from Rochester High School. He retired from Freedom in Virden, where he was employed as a car salesman, after many years of service.
In his spare time Mr. Montgomery loved online gaming and playing on his computer. He was an armchair sports fanatic, enjoying NASCAR, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife; children, Kristopher (Elizabeth) Montgomery of Omaha, NE, Emily (Josh) Murphy of St. Louis, MO; step-children, Kirby (Marry) Ingles of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Rickey (Brittany) Shipman of Moline, Kristina (Dennis) Loskot of Hillsboro and Monica Shipman of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Shonna Muffick, Natalie and Abigail Montgomery, Ryan, Easton, Conner, and Brynn Murphy, Hunter, Samuel, Andrew, and Kaylynn Ingles, Tristin and Austin Loskot and Hannah Shipman; and great-granddaughter, Kinsley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
