Craig Lynn Cassidy, 65, of Tahlequah, OK, formerly of Nokomis, died on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at his home in Tahlequah.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Aug. 19, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, located in rural Nokomis. Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Cassidy was born on May 14, 1958, in Pana, to the late Lynis and Jeanette (Lankford) Cassidy. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and graduated from Nokomis High School with the class of 1976. He married Julie Weitekamp of Raymond, and they later divorced.
He worked for the Coffeen Coal Mine out of high school. He then went to work in the telecommunications industry, living and working in more than 20 states.
He enjoyed motorcycles, water sports, traveling, building and cooking on his cookers and being with friends and family.
Mr. Cassidy is survived by a son, Kyle Cassidy of Newburgh, IN; sister, Karen (Ivan) Benning of Harvel; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis.
