Dale Philip Hull, 78, died on Monday, Jan. 23, at 12:15 p.m. in Litchfield.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 29, beginning at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield with the Rev. Fred Kraemer officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.

Mr. Hull was born in Quincy on Aug. 19, 1944.  He graduated from Quincy High School with the class of 1962, then moved to Litchfield with his family in January 1963. 

Mr. Hull and the former Pamela M. Taylor were married on June 14, 1975, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, and she survives.

He was employed by the city of Litchfield, retiring in 2007 after 32 years. During retirement, he was CSO supervisor. A member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, he enjoyed raising rabbits, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, putting in a nice garden and hosting the family wiener roasts. He was an avid Harley-Davidson fan, and greatly enjoyed riding them in his younger years. His ultimate goal in life was to take care of his family and “grand-dogs”.

In addition to his wife, Pam, Mr. Hull is survived by a daughter, Kate (James Banister) Hull of Litchfield; two brothers Billy (Georgia) Hull of Litchfield and Larry (Janet) Hull of Atwater; a brother-in-law, David (Mary Beth) Taylor of Litchfield and a sister,Linda (Kenneth) Felsman of Savoy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Darlene Hull and Omega Moody; his son, Philip David Hull; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Oscar David and Wilma Joyce Taylor; nephews, Matthew Hull, Jordan Hull and Daniel Gurley; brother, Jack Hull; a brother-in-law Wade Norman; and a sister, Judith Stroup.
