Danny Lee Taylor, 66, of Harrisburg, died on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020, in Harrisburg.
Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 11, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Myron Kirk, pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore, officiating.
Mr. Taylor was born July 8, 1954, in Benton, to Robert H. and Marie (Taylor) Taylor. He married Christina Peters on June 7, 2011, in Benton, and she survives.
He served his country in the U.S. Army. During his civilian career, he owned his own woodworking shop and had worked at True Weld in Litchfield.
Mr. Taylor loved to be outdoors and in the hills of southern Illinois.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four sons, Danny Taylor, Charlie (wife Kayla) Taylor, Eric (wife Dana) Taylor and William Taylor; one stepson, Brandon Kenny; 11 grandchildren; six brothers, Robert Taylor of Taylor Springs, Johnny Ray Taylor, Ronald (wife Patricia) Taylor and Michael (wife Kris) Taylor, all of Hillsboro, David (wife Chrissy) Taylor of Greenville and Victor (wife Leah) Taylor of Donnellson; and one sister, Judy Taylor of Greenville.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jimmy Taylor in 1997.
