David Guy Ishmael, 77, of Nokomis, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at his home surrounded by family.
No services are planned. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mr. Ishmael was born March 8, 1943, in Montgomery County, the son of Robert Daniel and Lena M. (Gottman) Ishmael. He married Ruth Ann Kates on July 25, 1946, in Nokomis, and she survives.
A quarry employee, he was also a trucker and a Baptist.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Jodi (Todd) Mines of Galesburg, Kristy (Hal) Joyce of Witt, Holly (Rick) Smith of Concord, MI, David Michael (Mary) Ishmael of Murfreesboro, TN, Robert (Prudence) Ishmael of Nokomis and Becki (Wayne) Stolte of Nokomis; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Ishmael of Chicago.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Ishmael.
