David Lee Ledbetter, 55, of Witt, died on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Schram City. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 12 p.m.at the church with Bob Morgason officiating. Burial will be held at Ramsey Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Pana Veterans Honor Guard.
Mr. Ledbetter was born Sept. 9, 1967, in Collinsville, to Garland and Gayloid (Brown) Ledbetter. He married Shirley Carroll on March 16, 1996, in Hillsboro, and she survives.
He served in the National Guard. During his career, he worked as a pipefitter with the Union Local #137 in Springfield for 15 years, and also as a locksmith.
Mr. Ledbetter was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse in Schram City. A computer guy, he enjoyed decoding malware.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeremy Swindle and Serena (Jason) Perry; his mother; five grandchildren, Colton Perry, Isabella Perry, Haley Perry, Matthew Perry and Katarina Fiore; and siblings, Jimmy (Kathy) Ledbetter, Tony (Debbie) Ledbetter and Teresa Rutz.
Mr. Ledbetter was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Christine Ledbetter.
